Periodontic Treatments

Periodontics focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases of the gums. Bleeding, red, swollen, and receding gums paired with bad breath and tooth looseness are some signs of periodontal disease. Left untreated, periodontal disease can cause abscesses and destroy the gums and bones that support your teeth. Scaling and root planing, deep cleanings, laser treatments, PerioProtect®, and ARESTIN® are targeted gum treatments we offer to ensure the optimal health of your gums and to protect your smile.

  • Scaling & Root Planing (SRP)

    We treat gingivitis or early periodontitis by removing plaque, tartar, and bacteria buildup from the tooth surface and roots. This non-surgical deep cleaning helps to reduce gum inflammation, bleeding, and pockets around the teeth, allowing healing of affected gum tissue.

  • PerioProtect®

    Treating minimally invasive gum disease has never been easier with PerioProtect® trays. Custom trays worn for 15 minutes a day deliver medicine to bacteria deep into the gums that brushing and flossing cannot usually reach.

  • ARESTIN®

    Fight gum disease at the site of infection using minocycline HCl 1mg antibiotic microspheres applied directly in the gums. A combination of ARESTIN® and SRP helps to tackle the chronic bacterial infection that causes gum disease.

  • Antimicrobial Rinses

    We offer antimicrobial rinses that tackle the bacteria that cause gum disease. Rinses such as Peridex®, Paroex®, and Periogard® help to reduce gingivitis, plaque, gum bleeding, and swelling.

  • Laser Treatments

    Targeted laser technology can remove infected gum tissue, allowing for a precise treatment that leaves minimal discomfort and a shorter recovery period.
